  The Application Process:

How to Apply:
Highly qualified students are encouraged to apply for IGERT Fellowships in Interdisciplinary Materials Science Program at Vanderbilt University. Applications for IGERT fellowships in IMS are currently being accepted. United State citizens with undergraduate majors in Chemistry, Physics and all engineering disciplines are eligible to apply.

For graduate students applying directly to Vanderbilt University:

1. Complete the online application . Apply for the Interdisciplinary Materials Science Program.

For graduate students applying directly to Fisk University:
(or for students who wish to receive a masters in Physics at Fisk and transfer the Ph.D. in Materials Science at Vanderbilt)

1. Follow Fisk application procedures.
2. Submit letter of intent to apply to Sarah Ross at sarah.m.ross@vanderbilt.edu.

For undergraduate students:

1. Complete application. (link not yet available)
2. Submit official transcript, letters of recommendation, and statement of research.
